Stamp Out Sectarianism

SOS logo

NUS Scotland has embarked on its first ever anti-sectarianism campaign. The Stamp Out Sectarianism campaign aims to help tackle the bigoted behaviour and attitudes that are still prevalent in Scotland today. The hatred, bigotry and division caused by sectarianism have long poisoned the lives of people in many parts of Scottish society - including the lives of students. The campaign has been funded by the Scottish Executive.

The campaign aims to reach thousands of students across Scotland and encourage them to sign up to pledges, to challenge sectarianism where they see it and to take no part in it themselves. NUS Scotland will use a range of publicity materials, training events and workshops over the coming academic year to advertise the campaign and encourage activism on the issue. Stamp Out Sectarianism posters, beer mats, badges and postcards in college and university campuses across Scotland will publicise the campaign, raising awareness and prompting students to sign up to the online pledge (www.stampoutsectarianism.co.uk) to challenge bigoted behaviour and attitudes.
