Welfare Information SheetsStudent support in the UK is a bit of a maze. What you are entitled to varies between England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and it depends on whether you're a home student or from overseas and on what course or programme you are following.
To guide you through it, the NUS Welfare Unit provides in-depth information on all forms of support available plus additional details on how students can access other types of financial support such as tax credits and social security benefits. We also offer some general advice on other welfare topics such as accommodation and your rights in the workplace.
These information sheets can be viewed as PDFs by clicking the links below, but if you need any individual sheets in an alternative format, please contact the Welfare Unit at welfare@nus.org.uk or on 0207 380 6600 and we will be happy to provide them.
