students@work campaignNUS are running a campaign on students@work this year in conjunction with the TUC and the NUS Trades Union Partnerships Projects. Later next month, we will be announcing a new protocol agreement with the Trades Union Congress which will enable us to help working students get access to their employment rights and the protection they deserve. As part of the launch NUS will be publicising a piece of research that exposes the hours that students now have to work to support their studies dues to financial hardship. This is where we need your help! We are looking for students who have had their employment rights abused and are willing to speak to us about their own experiences in order to help us with our media work and promotion of the issue. Are you a student who is working long hours, being paid below the minimum wage, working in poor conditions or being denied your rights by your employer? If you are able to assist us please e-mail the students name, telephone number, and a short summary of their story (no more than 5 lines) to andrew.henry@nus.org.uk by 31st August 2006. The story can be anonymised if needed but please note there is no guarantee NUS in touch with your students, as we will only select some of the stories to be used by the media.
